Snowdrop (galanthus nivalis)

 141.00 1.190.00 VAT included

The snowdrop is the first spring flower. Its name comes from two Greek words: “gala”=milk (white as milk) and “Anthos”=flower, and from the Latin “nivalis”(snowy) because it blooms early when there still is snow.  It is curious to know that it was introduced in England by Queen Elizabeth, who had taken it from the wild areas of the Alps.
