This wooden sculpture made by the Zeni brothers represents the adult male deer. Adult males can be up to 2.50 m long and up to 1.2 m high at the withers, weighing from 200 to more than 250 kg in exceptional cases. The noble deer owes its name to its ‘lofty’ bearing: with its erect neck and elegant gait, it moves lightly and elegantly in dense forests. During the summer, deer tend to migrate to higher altitudes, reaching the grasslands at higher altitudes where food is available in greater quantities.
