St. John of Nepomuk, or of Nepomuk (Nepomuk, before 1349 – Prague, March 20, 1393), was a Bohemian priest, canon of the cathedral in Prague and preacher at the court of King Wenceslas, who had him killed by drowning. He is the patron of Bohemia, of the confessors and all the people in danger of drowning. His feast falls on the 16th of May.
